Mare Care
Mare care is $10 per day while here and she will get five pounds of Alfalfa pellets morning and night. At Noon they get fed a flake of Bermuda.
Try to go on your mare's own schedule if Possible. Every 14 days a mare will return to Estrus and around day 21 the mare will ovulate again. A good conception rate can be achieved by breeding the mare 12 hours prior up to 12 Hours after ovulation.
We recommend the use of HCG to make the ovulation progress faster and so your mare won't be here as long (Limited Space). Ovulation should occur 36-48 Hours later. Ask your Vet if you would like to use it. You have to get this from your own Vet for your Mare. Some mare's will build a resistance to HCG if HCG is given more then a couple times in a breeding season. HCG makes ovulation more predictable and easier to determine. Follicle size should be 35 or bigger before this is given.
